Overseas destination: Crete
Favourite things about the 5 week overseas placement: Meeting a bunch of fantastic people, seeing some amazing sights (including a goat in a tree!) and seeing how truly special we can make our customers holidays.
My biggest learning: I’ll be the first one to admit that when I first heard about the overseas roles, I thought it was a 7 month holiday that would involve more socialising than working. But how wrong I was! Although the Holiday Advisor role is predominantly customer facing, there’s also a huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes be it preparing welcome packs, recognising special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries or simply just being around for a chat – the overseas team are truly a 24/7 operation. But the best thing? I didn’t meet one person that didn’t enjoy their job, and I think that speaks volumes about the level of dedication our teams give us as a company.
